Getting Started
What’s the difference between fully online, hybrid, and self‑paced courses?
Fully online courses deliver all learning and resources digitally, allowing you to access and progress through content wherever and whenever suits you best. Hybrid courses combine flexible online modules with scheduled live sessions, offering opportunities for real-time collaboration and feedback. Self-paced courses empower you to learn at your own speed, without set meeting times—perfect for fitting professional development around a busy schedule.
Can enrolment begin at any time, or only on set dates?
Enrolment is open year-round for fully online and self-paced courses, so you can begin learning whenever the time feels right. Hybrid courses have set start dates to align with scheduled live events, these will be clearly indicated during registration.
How many hours per week are expected to succeed?
Each module indicates the approximate time needed for completion, helping you plan according to your availability. Most learners find they can progress at their own pace, unless participating in a hybrid course, where live sessions follow a set timetable.
Technology & Access
Is a webcam and microphone necessary?
A webcam and microphone are helpful for participating in live sessions or interactive activities, but many course modules and resources can be accessed without them. You’ll always find guidance in the course details if specific equipment is recommended.
How is personal data stored and protected?

Course details and membership timetables will clearly indicate whether sessions are live, recorded, or a combination, so you know what to expect and can plan your learning experience.
How much independent study is expected outside class time?
Independent study helps deepen your learning through reflection and practice. The more you put in, the richer your experience. We recognise that early years leaders are busy, so our courses and resources are designed to support flexible, heuristic learning at your own pace.
How interactive are classes (polls, chats, breakout rooms, whiteboards)?
Our classes offer a lively and engaging experience, with plenty of opportunities for polls, live chats, breakout rooms, and collaborative whiteboard sessions—ensuring every learner feels included and able to contribute.
Assessment and Grading
How are quizzes and exams administered and proctored?
Quizzes are integrated into all courses. These are designed to help you learn. We thoughtfully design all assessments according to the intended outcome. Quizzes and activities will be administered online. We do not set exam style work and tend to favour project or real life practical tasks. Submission of these pieces are via the online platform. Proctoring is not currently used.
Work will be check for plagiarism and AI. Work that is deemed to have been undertaken with AI will be rejected and the learner will not pass the course.
All advanced practitioner courses will have clear assessment tasks, marking schemes, and guidelines, details of which is in the course syllabus or course itself. Work is to be submitted via the platform.

Most of our courses are flexible to suit you, so there are no penalties for late submission as long as we receive it within this time.
